Buhari promise a bright future for chibok girls

– The 21 released girls from chibok along with other female victims of Boko Haram may become pariahs in their own communites
– “People are also often afraid the girls have been indoctrinated by Boko Haram.”
– UNICEF insist intensive support to rebuild their lives and reintegrate them into society
President Buhari and Vice president, Yemi Osinbajo in a group photo with the 21 freed Chibok Girls after receiving them at the State House
When it seems that their nightmare was over, the 21 Chibok girls rescued last week from Boko Haram terrorists face new challenges as they may be disowned by their communities, the United Nations Children’s Fund  (UNICEF) representatives fear.
The organisation stated that the recent release of the girls and reunification with their families indicate the need for providing intensive support to women and girls who had been held by the group.
According to the fund, the girls can become victims of *stigmatisation resulting from their association with Boko Haram.
Stigma
Gianfranco Rotigliano, the representative of UNICEF in Nigeria said: “The release is great news and we are delighted to see the girls back with their families, but we must keep pressing for all the women and children held by Boko Haram to be freed.
We must bear in mind that all of those who have been held by Boko Haram will face a long and difficult process to rebuild their lives after the indescribable trauma they have suffered.
Frequently, returning to their families and communities is the beginning of a new ordeal for the girls, as the sexual violence they have suffered often results in stigmatisation.
People are also often afraid the girls have been indoctrinated by Boko Haram and that they pose a threat to their communities.
The use by Boko Haram of children – mostly girls – as so called ‘suicide’ bombers has fuelled such fears. Children born as a result of the sexual violence are at even greater risk of rejection, abandonment and violence.”
Rape and torture under the guise of forced marriages
“The girls report they have been subjected to rape – frequently in the form of forced “marriages” – beatings, intimidation and starvation during their captivity. Many returned pregnant or with babies as a result of rape.
When they do reach safety, girls who have been held by Boko Haram are often ill, malnourished, traumatised and exhausted; they are in need of medical attention and psycho-social support so they can begin to come to terms with their experiences and reintegrate with their families and communities.”
Today, on Wednesday, October 19, President Muhammadu Buhari has received the 21 Chibok school girls and their parents in the State House, Abuja.
Iin a statement via Femi Adesina, the senior special assistant on media and publicity, the president  said: “They have seen the worst that the world has to offer. It is now time for them to experience the best.”
Recall that the girls had been freed by Boko Haram after negotiations between the group and the Nigerian government brokered by International Committee of the Red Cross and the Swiss government.
On 16 October, President Buhari’s spokesperson stated that the ISIL-allied faction of Boko Haram was willing to negotiate the release of 83 more of the

Aisha Buhari rocks N1.2million cape to Belgium

Aisha Buhari, wife of Nigeria’s president, Muhammadu Buhari departed for Belgium today, October 18 wearing a Salvatore Ferragamo cape which costs about $2,600 (N1.183 million).
Mrs Buhari is currently in Brussels, Belgium to attend a forum and will be giving the opening remark on “Women’s Role in Global Security”. She traveled to Brussels in a train instead of jet which Africa government officials prefer.
However Nigerians have began to react condemning the first lady for wearing such an expensive outfit while Nigerians in IDP are starving.

Buhari has done it AGAIN!!!

A German Opposition Leader called for Buhari immediate Expulsion From Germany,
*German Women rise against Nigerian Leader*
In a press conference with the German leader in Berlin, President Buhari in what might be perhaps his most stupid political blunder yesterday in Germany, in answering a reporters question on the role of his wife in his government, has this to say..." _my wife belongs in my Kitchen and in my living room and other room_"
... what a statement! That was politically incorrect.
The ill adviced President totally forgot that he is standing next to a woman who is a world leader.
Here in Germany as in the rest of Europe, the issue of women's right is a delicate one as women have come a long way fighting inequality in both society and at work place. Without warning, a visibly angry Mrs Merkel (the German Chancellor) quickly ended the press conference to save the President further embarrassment.
The emancipation of women in Europe is a civil rights issue, that is why feminist groups in Germany immediately reacted to his outing as a hate speech and demanded his exit from their territory. A German opposition leader called for his immediate expulsion from Germany, while a renowned German newspaper in its editorial, has this to say about our President.
_He is simply a dumb leader, hailed as the Messiah of Africa's most populous democracy after winning election in 2015 His agenda of fighting corruption which was given a blessing by the West, especially former colonial master, England is very unpopular in his country as citizens are more concerned about the economic hardship and joblessness to his fight for financial recovery_.
It went ahead to say,...
_when it comes to world issues, the former general has little knowledge of events of the moment and hardly articulates.The more you listen to him, the dumber you become_ -;
Hard words, but written with some elements of sincerity.
Germany has a woman as head of state. Germany has mother with eight children as defence minister, (comnander of a powerful millitary force) something unthinkable in most parts of the world especially, Africa. The notion here is that, girls can be everything including being President

Boko Haram Release 21 chibok girls today Being thursday 13th of october2016

Boko Haram militants handed over 21 missing Chibok schoolgirls to Nigerian officials Thursday morning as part of a deal brokered by the International Committee of the Red Cross and the Swiss government, Nigeria's government said.
The girls are being taken to the northeastern city of Maiduguri, where they will meet with the governor of Borno state, officials in the state said. The girls were not immediately named.
The girls were released to the Nigerian military Thursday morning in Maiduguri, Nigeria.

The girls were released to the Nigerian military Thursday morning in Maiduguri, Nigeria.
The 21 are said to be among the 276 girls that Boko Haram militants herded from bed in the middle of the night at a school in northern Nigeria in April 2014 -- a kidnapping that spurred global outrage.
As many as 57 girls escaped almost immediately, but scores remain missing. Thursday's release is the largest group believed freed since the girls were kidnapped two years ago.

Terms of Thursday's deal were not immediately announced, but no jailed Boko Haram fighters were released in exchange for the girls, a source with direct knowledge of the release said on condition of anonymity.
Mallam Garba Shehu, spokesman for Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari, said on Twitter that the 21 released girls are now in the custody of the Department of State Services, the Nigerian domestic intelligence agency.
The agency chief has briefed the government, Shehu tweeted, and has said the girls need to rest "with all of them very tired coming out of the process before he hands them over to the Vice President.
"The release of the girls ... is the outcome of negotiations between the (Nigerian) administration and the Boko Haram brokered by the International Red Cross and the Swiss government. The negotiations will continue," Shehu tweeted.

Mouau prays

Christian have been challenged to take religion beyond praying and fasting and embrace Mercy, Justice and compassion to the widows, less- privileged and the disadvantaged in the society. Preaching a sermon on the topic “God Created us for Good Works”, at the September edition of  MOUAU PRAYS- a monthly prayer meeting for management, staff and students of Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, Umudike, Professor  O. O. Ukoha identified sin and disobedience as gateways to cruses and advised Christians to keep away from them in order to enjoy God’s glory.
Taking his text from Ephesians 2:1-2, 8-10, John 14:12-13, I Peter 5: 8-9 and Zechariah 5:4, Professor Ukoha emphasized on the need for Christians to serve God through their chosen professions and lifestyle, adding that chosing to do the will of God at all times leads to living a fulfilled life in Christ.
In a closing remark, the Vice- Chancellor Professor Francis Otunta who thanked the speaker and the Evangelist for their fervent prayers for the University challenged Christians to desist from practicing submarine Christianity which according to him is a situation where Christians only live for Christ on Sundays and go back to sin the rest of the week. He also urged all present to practice the word of God and thereby appeals that others should be invited to join in worshipping God.
The prayer meeting featured songs, special prayers for the sick, the University Management, Staff, Students, Nigeria and Abia State.
